Oaklands Country Manor

Oaklands Country Manor is situated in the Northern Drakensberg, near one of the local villages. It is a great getaway destination with a variety of sports and leisure activities that will suit people of all ages and interests, be it relaxing and unwinding, getting active or simply occupying the children.

Oaklands believes that great food is an important part of any getaway experience. They pride themselves in the quality of their food and which is served in a dining room that has a spectacular view of the surrounding landscapes.

The Manor is a 3 hour drive from Johannesburg and from Durban. Oaklands is situated about 30 km from Harrismith and 25 km from the Tugela Toll Plaza.

Accommodation

Accommodation at the Oaklands Country Manor is stylish and homely. The rooms boast views of the countryside, the manor gardens, polo fields as well as subtle African themed furnishings. The Manor offers complimentary breakfast and can accommodate up to 32 guests. Accommodation id offered in the following options:

En suite rooms

The ensuite rooms are double rooms that contain an ensuite bathrooms, fireplaces, coffee stations as well as an outdoor patio area with a table, chairs and an umbrella. These rooms are perfect for couples and come with the option of either a queen sized bed or twin beds.

Family suites

The Family Suites can accommodate up to 4 people. These suites contain a bathroom, two fireplaces, a living room, television, kitchenette and outdoor entertainment area. Webers are available on request.

Hilltop House

Hilltop House is ideal for larger groups as it sleeps 6 people. The house contains a double room with a queen sized bed and ensuite bathroom, and two double rooms with twin beds and a shared bathroom. There is also an open plan living room with a lounge, kitchenette and an outdoor deck area.

Approximately 3 hours from both Durban and Johannesburg. 30 km from Harrismith (South bound) and about 25 km from the Tugela Toll Plaza (North bound) on the N3. Turn into the R793 - Oban/Schaapdrift Rd. -next to the CALTEX garage in Van Reenen. Follow our signage to Oaklands Country Manor. Crossing the railway lines, travel for 7 km on the dirt road and you’ll find us on the right.
