Wine Tasting in the Drakensberg

One of the most enjoyable activities in the Drakensberg is wine tasting. The Drakensberg Mountains climate provides and similar environment to that of the cape allowing grape vines to thrive. The wine farms in the Drakensberg mountains usually export internationally but also have a low key commercial feeling as there is only a hand full of them. Wine tasting in the Drakensberg is intimate and can be enjoyed through out the week at your leisure. As well as the wine estates, a number of hotels in the Midlands Meander and Drakensberg feature a wine cellar and wine tasting.
